Flew via Norfolk-Hampton Roads, VA (KPVG), Chapel Hill, NC (KIGX), Jefferson, GA (19A) and into Zephyrhills, FL (KZPH) 29-May-2012, for use by Skydive City. This would appear to have replaced N137JR (MSN 176) which positioned back to base at Stroudsburg, PA on 01-May-2012.

N204EH had previously been operating with Skydive Orange.

857 - DHC-6-400 C-GVVA Viking Air Ltd., Sidney, BC

Flew Akureyri, Iceland (BIAR) to Wick, Scotland (EGPC) 29-May-2012, and then on to Altenrhein, Switzerland (LSZR) 30-May-2012. On prior deliveries aircraft have spent up to a few days at Altenrhein, which is a Viking Factory Endorsed Service Center before continuing to the final destination.  C-GVVA is also expected to be reunited with it's amphibious floats, prior to delivery to Istanbul where it will be operated by Gozen Air Services for Korfez Aviation as TC-KHC.

Korfez Aviation currently operate a Gulfstream 450, a Hawker 900XP and a Bell 407.

After diverting into La Ronge, SK (CYVC) on 26-May-2012 enroute from Victoria to Churchill, the aircraft arrived at it's destination shortly after midnight.

Today, 27-May-2012 the aircraft was scheduled to fly from Churchill, MB (CYYQ) to Qikiqtarjuaq, NU (CYVM), but appears to have diverted into Pangnirtung, NU (CYXP) instead. Looking at the current weather for Qikiqtarjuaq, I'd expect that was the reason for the diversion.

Began it's delivery flight today, 26-May-2012 flying from Victoria, BC (CYYJ) with an original destination of Churchill, MB (CYYQ), it is however now on the approach for La Ronge, SK (CYVC), and has filed for La Ronge to Churchill, arriving after midnight.

 C-GVVA has been present in Victoria since Mar-2012, and has spent the last month on amphibious floats, which have been removed for the delivery flight. The aircraft carries registration TC-KHC under tape.

The blog will be updated as information becomes available along the delivery route.

Is currently 25-May-2012 flying from Sturtevant, WI (C89) to Montreal-Trudeau (CYUL) and will likely break off for the Parachutisme NouvelAir facility in Farnham, QC (CSN7). The aircraft originated in Brownsville, TX (KBRO) on 22-May-2012. If it does head for Farnham, it will either join or replace Win Win's other DHC-6 (MSN 223 N223AL) which has been present since 04-May-2012.

N301CL was delivered to International Nickel in 1970, and has since flown in the U.S., Panama, Canada, Cuba, and Fiji. It has been skydiving with Win Win since 2000.

Update to the blog entry 21-May-2012, the aircraft has now officially been registered in the U.S.A. as N471SC to Bank of Utah (Trustee), Salt Lake City on 24-May-2012.

Has today, 25-May-2012 flown Victoria (CYYJ) to Spokane (KGEG) after having filed for the same route on both the 23rd & 24th as well.

A nice shot by Tony Coles of MSN 480 P2-SWE of Southwest Air taken recently at Brisbane-Archerfield; the aircraft had arrived in Brisbane on 03-May-2012 from Daru, Cairns & Rockhampton. P2-SWE started it's life in Gabon before going to the legendary Talair in Papua New Guinea in 1989, and finding it's way to Southwest Air in 1993.

Flew Malta (LMML) - Thessaloniki (LGTS) - Istanbul (LTFJ) 23-May-2012 after maintenance at Medavia. N181CS operates for U.K.-based ARKeX as a geological surveyor supporting the oil & gas industry. It was originally delivered in 1968 to East African Airways, and has been flying for Fayard since 2004.

Just an update from our last report on 05-May-2012, N223AL currently remains at Farnham, QC flying regularly for Parachutisme NouvelAir.

Is flight planned for  Victoria (CYYJ) - Spokane (KGEG) today, 23-May-2012, reversing a trip it made from Spokane to Victoria on 28-Mar-2012. C-GVAQ has been resident in Victoria during April and May in OK Tedi Mining colours, with registration P2-BFW under tape.

Today, 47 years later we are pleased to announce that a new project is underway. In the near future the following website will become active. This is a work in progress, and the first phase will provide a detailed history & photo archive of the first 100 machines produced at Downsview.

There are three dedicated people working pretty well full time on this project, myself, along with Ian Macintosh and Neil Aird. Together we are turning some 20,000 pages of mostly hand-written records into the definitive Twin Otter individual  airframe history archive. We hope to accomplish this by building from the  highly detailed notes of our friend Michael J. Ody, along with additional research prepared by our team of Ian, Neil and myself.

on 29-Apr-2012 at Cross Keys, NJ (17N). It was original delivered to

the past 25 years.

Flew St. John's, NL (CYYT) to Santa Maria, Azores (LPAZ) 12-May-2012 with a planned enroute time of 9 hrs & 30 mins. Our last published record of  'OKB was on 01-Apr-2012 heading from Calgary to Hay River, Cambridge Bay & Resolute Bay.

The travels of C-GOKB in the past four months are a good indicator of the global nature of Kenn Borek's business. This aircraft was in Antarctica in February, in Canada's Arctic by April, and in Africa by May.




611 - DHC-6-300 C-FBKB Kenn Borek Air Ltd., Calgary, AB

As covered in previous posts, Kenn Borek's C-FBKB has been involved in a Trans-Pacific delivery flight to Air Borneo (dba Air Born).

This is the second Twin Otter known to have gone to the new Indonesian operator; in December 2011 MSN 576 N54LM was acquired from CAAMS LLC of Rutherfordton, NC & it flew via Salinas, Honolulu and Majuro on 27-Dec-2011, and Pohnpei (PTPN)-Manado (RPMD) on 29-Dec-2011. Thanks to MRC Aviation for adding to the flight routing.

Flew Springbank, AB (CYBW) - Winnipeg, MB (CYWG) 10-May-2012. It had arrived in Springbank from Winnipeg and Regina on 10-Apr-2012.


On 10-May-2012 an Air Labrador DHC-6 flew Winnipeg, MB (CYWG) to Regina, SK (CYQR) as LAL601, then Regina, SK (CYQR) to Calgary, AB (CYYC) as LAL603. Unfortunately the identity of the specific aircraft is currently unknown. Assumed to be bound for Springbank now that hangar space has been created with the departure of C-FWAH!

Flew Springbank-Great Falls-Ogden (as noted in earlier post below) 08-May-2012; on 09-May-2012 it departed Ogden heading southbound. Although the track ends south of Metropolitan Phoenix, in the vicinity of the suburb of Chandler it is lined up pretty well directly for Eloy. I suspect that was the destination.

480 - DHC-6-300 P2-SWE Southwest Air, Mendi, PNG

Although not necessarily an uncommon visitor to Australia, it flew Daru, PNG ((AYDU) - Cairns, Qld (YBCS) 02-May-2012; however it did venture a bit further into Queensland the following day, 03-May-2012 when it flew Cairns (YBCS)-Rockhampton (YBRK)-Brisbane/Archerfield (YBAF)

611 - DHC-6-300 C-FBKB Kenn Borek Air Ltd., Calgary, AB

Flew Majuro, Marshall Islands (PKMJ) to Weno, Chuuk (PTKK) 08-May-2012, and on 09-May-2012 continued Weno, Chuuk (PTKK) to Balikpapan, Indonesia (WALL). The aircraft is now known to be on delivery to PT Air Born (Air Borneo) in Indonesia. I hope to add a picture of the aircraft later today.

In any case, today 08-May-2012 it flew Springbank (CYBW) - Great Falls, MT (KGTF) - Ogden, UT (KOGD).

Although I'd like to see it confirmed as this was initially filed as C-GKBG then subsequently as KBA307 it appears as though it has positioned north when it flew Calgary (CYYC) to High Level (CYOJ) and then on to Yellowknife (CYZF) on 01-May-2012. C-GKBG returned from Antarctica in February.
