Loganair Awarded Scottish Public Service Obligation Contract
As expected, Loganair has now been officially awarded the Scottish Government's Public Service Obligation contract for the next four years. Coinciding with the contract, additional services have been added with an increase of flights to Tiree and Barra, and an improvement to the schedule for Campbeltown.
Loganair currently operates two DHC-6-400's (G-HIAL and G-SGTS) leased from Highlands & Islands Airports Ltd., and one DHC-6-300 (G-BVVK). One other DHC-6-300 is parked at Glasgow awaiting return to the lessor.

Chukotavia's RA-67281 is seen below in the fine company of Douglas DC-3 N12BA owned by Yesterday's Wings of Port Charlotte, FL. It, along with DC-3 N400MF are tracing the historic Alaska-Siberia route which originated in Great Falls, MT. Both DC-3's will eventually reach Moscow to participate in the MAKS 2015 Air & Space Show.

Over the last weekend I built Dash8Spotter, which you are welcome to check out by clicking on the banner below. Keeping in mind the beginning days of TwinOtterSpotter in 2012, I hope that there will be a similar amount of growth as Dash8Spotter progresses as well. Although I spent 20+ years around the DHC-8, building the information will be a learning experience for me as well, as I just don't know as much off the top of my head as with the Twin Otter. In any event, I think that there is good potential to develop the new blog in the same way as this one has grown.
