IKHANA DHC-6-300HG™ Makes First Flight from Murrieta 25-Oct-2016

IKHANA kicked off the flight test phase of our RWMI DHC-6-300HG™ program today.  Our RWMI DHC-6-300HG™ will be certified as a Standard Commuter Category STC allowing aircraft to operate to a 14,000 lbs. (6350 KG) MTOW.  The aircraft, MSN 499, launched this afternoon and returned after an approximate two (2) hour check flight.

The aircraft is powered by 750 SHP PT6A-34 engines, coupled with 4 bladed Raisbeck-Hartzell propellers.

IKHANA will be displaying at the NBAA show in Orlando next week (Booth 3630)and invites all attendees to stop by for more information about the program.

Registered 04-Oct-2016. This is really a CCAR housekeeping exercise, as the aircraft is already in Taiwan. It had earlier been prematurely cancelled, and is now joining the register again so it can be appropriately cancelled to Taiwan. The Canadian registration was cancelled 05-Oct-2016.

The aircraft is B-55575, and that likely appears on the aircraft already.

Government bureaucracy and interference has, at least for now, claimed another seaplane operator in the Adriatic/Ionian seas region of Europe. With effect from 03-Oct-2016, Croatia's European Coastal Airlines has suspended operations entirely. The company had been maintaining some services with a portion of its Twin Otter fleet, but that came to an end yesterday.

The company had been involved in a dispute with the Croatian authorities and regulators since 12-Aug-2016.
